Eclectic and unique assembled costume jewellery with character and a vintage twist made with gemstones and rare and unusual finds.

Raised in Central London by creative parents working in fashion and interior design, Sophie studied product development at the London College of Fashion and went on to work for fashion designers and interior stylists until she moved to Brighton and started her own creative business in 2011 selling at local fairs and Open Houses in Brighton. Missy T comes from her maiden name Thirlby. 14 years of designing and making costume jewellery with character and a vintage twist is where she has found her groove. Working mostly with brass which is wonderfully versatile and affordable, she is a self taught assembler of components, she is a magpie jeweller, collecting and sourcing unusual and interesting finds from all over the world, some rare and vintage, from textiles to gemstones, to create unique and wearable pieces that give a nod to the past and a wink at the present. Featuring animals and Art Deco style, she uses waste materials, recycled and/or repurposed, in her work to practice sustainability and to add story to her designs.
